Simple Home Made Mayonnaise Recipe

It blows my mind that you can make mayonnaise in about five minutes with a few simple ingredients that can be found in the pantry and fridge.

I cringe at the number of times I have driven to the shops specifically for mayonnaise… not many times but it has happened. Well, no more! I will no longer buy mayonnaise!

I was inspired by Donna Hay for this recipe as it was so simple.

Less than five minutes!

1 x egg
1 x tablespoon lemon juice
2 x teaspoons Dijon mustard
1 x cup vegetable oil
Salt to taste


  1. Using a food processor, process the egg, lemon juice, mustard and salt until well combined.
  2. With the motor running, pour the oil in very slowly in a thin stream and process until the mixture is thick and creamy.

Seriously, that’s it!
